GSTR-1 is a monthly or quarterly return that should be filed every company or registered delaer or business entity.
for example :
If a person has entered into a transaction of supply of goods or service, then there must be someone who would be the recipient of the supply of goods or service. Supplier of the goods/service would be originating point of the transaction and he would specify, in his return, details of the supply along with the recipient to whom supply has been effected. The return for the inward supplies of the recipient of the supply would get auto-populated with the details provided by the supplier in his return for the outward supplies. Thus, GSTR-1 becomes the base document upon which the entire compliance structure in GST would be based.
1.The due dates for GSTR-1 are based on your turnover. Until March 2018 the due dates for the return has been notified.
Businesses with sales of up to Rs. 1.5 crore will file quarterly returns.
Other taxpayers with sales above Rs. 1.5 crore have to file monthly return.
Here are the due dates for the return until March 2018.
